About me
Benjamin Dieterlen
Bicycle guide and coherent breathing trainer
Coming from the medical-social field, I initially worked as a caregiver in addiction treatment for 15 years. That experience was quite rewarding and taught me a lot, particularly about the relationship between patients and their families as well as with colleagues and partners.
Today, I am taking a new professional direction. My new project combines two of my passions :
1. The transmission of an effective emotional management technique : coherent breathing
Coherent breathing is a remarkable tool for emotional management, particularly for stress. This tool is easy to acquire and practice and is incredibly effective as each session only lasts five minutes.
In 2019, I trained with Dr. David O'Hare. I developed a 1.5-hour introductory session and between 2019 and 2023, I conducted approximately 400 individual sessions and more than 200 group sessions, primarily with patients and professionals in the medical-social field within an addiction treatment center.
2. The organization and support of cycling tourism trips in Brittany
For 12 years, my family and I lived in Ardèche (south of France) near the starting point of one of the most beautiful bike roads in France, if not Europe : the Dolce Via. Naturally, I started cycling and organizing trips for the family on the Dolce Via, then to other destinations.
We moved to Brittany a few years ago and I quickly explored this magnificent region by bike. Today, I can organize cycling trips in Brittany and guide you during the trip.
Additionally, I can combine coherent breathing and cycling trips, as the two practices perfectly complement each other.
I am proficient in English : I can have a discussion and translate everything for you during the trip. I talk to my kids (10 & 6 years old) only in English, so I am used to switching from English to French all day long.
